Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick was born to Janice
(Cooke), an accountant, and William Kendrick (a teacher). Her older brother is,
Michael Cooke Kendrick, who has also acted. Anna Kendrick is Scottish, Irish
and English-born. The actress received nominations for the Tony Award (second
youngest ever) in addition to the Drama Desk Award and the Fany Award (best
actress in a musical). Her spectacular performance landed her the Drama League
and Theatre World Award.She was a lead performer with Cabaret's Kit Kat Club at
"Carnegie Hall Live" in Great Performances: My Favorite Broadway The
Leading Ladies (1999) (TV). She was privileged to be working with Scott Ellis,
choreographer Susan Stroman along with other famous performers in the New York
City Opera House. Anna starred in Camp (2003) and was nominated for the
Broadway Tony Award for Best Actress (Featured role for Musical) for High
Society. Following 1991's Tony award winner Daisy Eagan, she was the second
youngest nominee. George Clooney ridiculed her at the NYC Opera House, along
with choreographer Susan Stroman. She also played in "Jane Eyre" and
"The Little Princess" for Broadway. In 1998, Jason Reitman cast her
in Up in the Air. After watching her performance on Rocket Science (2007). Only
actress from the 'Twilight Saga to be nominated for an Oscar. In the year 2010,
she was nominated in the second and third installments of the series.
